Our Environment

At Sandringham Children's Centre we follow the Reggio Emilia program

At Villa Bambini we have created a safe and nurturing space for children to explore and learn through creative play.

The environment in Reggio Emilia’s program is often referred to as the child’s “third teacher”. With this in mind, our centres are designed to create a sense of wonder. The classrooms have community spaces for group projects, such as music, art and dancing, as well as small intimate spaces for quiet play and discovery. The classrooms are frequently rearranged and new activities introduced to enhance their learning.

Your child will love the freedom of our outdoor spaces. With lots of activities to chose from, like climbing frames, bikes and hoops to focus on large muscle development, or gardening, water and sand play to foster your child’s natural curiosity.

Villa Bambini respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land on which our Centres are located, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin Nation and pays respects to their Elders past and present.
